About Us
April
Allen

April is a forward-thinking and forward-looking changemaker who balances thinking big with diving deep. Her professional life includes experience in research, government, and nonprofit settings, diverse in subject matter (health, child welfare, intergovernmental relations) but united by her passion for making the world a better place.
She loves coming up with the kernel of a great idea, pulling the right people into the room, then leaping into the void to come up with new and better solutions. While she is serious about impact, fun and games are at the heart of her work because we know that people connect to others and their work better when they play. Her proudest accomplishments include empowering and convening communities to translate the language of data and research into regular – and actionable – "human speak" that puts individuals with lived experience at the forefront.
Shana Brodnax

Shana is a dynamic facilitator whose gift is creating space that calls forth the best in people in the service of the work they're there to do together. She holds people steady as they confront hard truths, have courageous conversations, and reach for their next level as a person and as a team. She uses presence, insights, and honest observations to push a group to work towards a better way, and walks with them as they take the first steps on the path ahead.
She brings her rich history in the work to bear – as a nonprofit executive running large-scale youth programs, as a leadership coach, and as a yoga teacher – to fully see and deeply understand the people in the group, while also holding fiercely to a vision of what they are striving for.
